The SSXL adds 3/8" between the shell and the attachment of the clips to the Pinwheel or Backbone. By themselves, they offer easier access for those with larger hands to get and greatly aids in QuadLoading. Combine a standard SSL with an SSXL for an angled grip which some prefer for Quadloading. The SSXLs use the same mounting plates and hardware as standards SSLs so you can mix and match.

Several mounitng options exist. We carry the Tek-Loks and ELS, but the TMMS systems also fit our mount plates. To use your own attachments, select "none" in the drop down.

The SSL system was the first, and is still the Gold Standard in the TWinS or Load2 shotgun loading methods. Our injection molded SSL clips have a polymer that is tough and thermally stable while still allowing for excellent retention and the smoothest finish and release on the market. Review:

The SSLXL are the only product I have found that allows me to quad load. I have large hands and staggering a stander SSL with a SSLXL has allowed me to achieve a smooth and reliable quad load. Carbon Arms has a home run for people with large fingers or large hands.
